If you are a patient aged 16 years or over, you can now order your repeat prescription using our online service by clicking the link above.
How to sign-up:
For more information, please contact reception for advice.
Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. If you experience any problems please telephone the practice.
If you take medication on a long-term basis, you can ask for a repeat prescription. These can be requested by coming into the surgery or asking the chemist to order on your behalf.
All requests for repeat medication will be accepted by using the tear off slip from your prescription and by ticking the item/s required or by handwriting your repeat prescription request giving full details - name, address and medication required. If ordering by post, please enclose a stamped addressed envelope for return of your prescription.
In cases of genuine difficulty, e.g. housebound patients on their own, repeat prescriptions may be requested by telephone
Please note we do not accept repeat prescription orders over the phone.
Please do not send children under 16 years of age to collect prescriptions. You may telephone your pharmacy to collect the prescription on your behalf and then either collect your medication from your pharmacy when ready, or request a home delivery.
Electronic Prescription Service
- The vast majority of prescriptions are now sent to pharmacies directly through the Electronic Prescription Service, and all local pharmacies are able to receive prescriptions in this way. This service is faster, more efficient and more secure than processing paper prescriptions.
- The NHS now has an official system for nominating the pharmacy that receives your prescriptions. For the great majority of people with repeat prescriptions, this has already been set up, after discussion with you, by the pharmacies or the practice but it can be changed by you at any time.
- Please check with your pharmacy if you are unsure whether a nomination has been set up for you. Unfortunately, we are not currently able to show your nominated pharmacy on the website or to set it from a request made on-line. After April 2013, prescriptions for patients without a nomination set will need to be collected from our reception.
- To ensure accuracy please use the counterfoil provided when requesting repeat medication. If you do not have a counterfoil please quote the name, strength and dosage of all medication you require
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
